Pray For Our Nation

While it’s tempting to shove the “impeachment” hearings aside and chalk it all up to partisan politics, we need to be informed, engaged, and bring the solutions of our faith to the discussion table. Most importantly, we need to pray.

We’ve created a simple guide to understand the impeachment process and to know how to pray.

GET: The Impeachment Process and Christian’s Call to
Prayer

Specifically, we ask you to pray for each person on the House Intelligence Committee, the committee handling the impeachment inquiry. Pray for each member by name. Pray they would operate in good-faith bipartisanship, seeking only the truth, with the overarching desire to be fair, comprehensive, and full of integrity as they listen to each testimony given. Here are the committee members by name.
Republicans:

Devin Nunes, Ranking Member, CA-22
Mike Conaway, TX-11
Michael Turner, OH-10
Brad Wenstrup, OH-2
Chris Stewart, UT-2
Jim Jordan, OH-4*
Elise Stefanik, NY-21
Will Hurd, TX-23
John Ratcliffe, TX-4
Democrats:

Adam Schiff, Chairman, CA-28
Jim Himes, CT-4
Terri Sewell, AL-7
Andre Carson, IN-7
Jackie Speier, CA-14
Mike Quigley, IL-5
Eric Swalwell, CA-15
Joaquin Castro, TX-20
Denny Heck, WA-10
Peter Welch, Vermont-at-Large
Sean Patrick Maloney, NY-18
Val Demings, FL-10
Raja Krishnamoorthi, IL-8

We urge you to pray faithfully for our nation (2 Chronicles 7:14). When you do, you are joining with other Christians across the country in prayer. Together, our prayers are powerful.

Let us remain faithful to what God calls us to in Jeremiah 29:7 for the sake of our communities and our nation: “Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
