A Saturday article by Washington Times columnist Cheryl K. Chumley again notes how filled with dangerous, communicable diseases the members of these so-called “migrant caravans” are.
Chumley noted that the “migrants” (really meaning illegal aliens) piling up at the southern border are bringing all sorts of diseases and sickness to the area.
Of 6,000 currently sleeping in the city of Tijuana, a third are reportedly being treated for various medical issues. And not just coughs due to cold.
As Fox News reported, according to Tijuana’s Health Department, these medical issues include tuberculosis, HIV and AIDS, chickenpox, lice and skin infections, Hepatitis — and who knows what else.
It’s the whispered dark side of unchecked borders. The Democrats don’t want to discuss this, but open borders don’t just bring in unknown national security risks. They bring germs and diseases and health conditions that can infect and afflict the citizenry.

These people are also bringing new parasites into the U.S.
“CDC warns of new tick species capable of spreading diseases to humans,” The Hill newspaper wrote, just this week, about a new report that finds “the Asian longhorned tick, an arachnid native to Korea and other parts of east Asia, has been found in several states in the eastern and southeastern parts of the United States.”
Then, as Fox reported, there is the new “polio-like” disease spreading across the country. “CDC identifies 31 states with 116 confirmed cases of polio-like disease,” Fox wrote.
Sensibly, Chumely wonders if it would not be better to limit untrammeled immigration until we get a handle on this avalanche of new sicknesses and diseases.
Chumley is not the first to note this wave of disease befalling us all.

Right now, it’s happening in Tijuana, where 6,000 migrants are still camped out. Fox News reports that more than a third, some 2,200 of them are being treated for lice, scabies, chicken pox, hepatitis, HIV, tuberculosis, and infections.
The San Diego television press reported last night that measles has also been detected in the squalid encampment, where new caravans are arriving even as some pack up and go home.

Open borders means open disease, and for everyone. Mass illegal migration has since coincided with an amazing collection of new disease outbreaks now being seen in California, the nation’s pestilence capital, and the home of a quarter of the nation’s illegals. San Diego got a hepatitis outbreak. Los Angeles has typhus.
Now there’s a polio-like disease that Dr. Brian Joondeph raised questions about. Uncontrolled borders also correspond to the appearance of heretofore unknown diseases in the Los Angeles area, such as leprosy and chagas disease, the latter of which up until now had been primarily seen in Central America. What a coincidence.
This is what the Democrats want to allow to bring upon this country with their support for wide-open borders, America.
